Marconi 81A Electronic Warfare / Special Operations Ship

The Marconi is based on the SUP. The Marconi is a dedicated EW craft and also has an Elint/Sigint role. It can also support covert operations teams. They can also carry freight to support fleet operations. They will be replaced in the EW role by 2127.

River 75B Utility Transport

The River class is an improved version of the Friendship mid-sized transport for communications and liaison duties operated and owned by the NS in a joint contract with the UNP to support smaller colonies. They were upgraded with HS-602CMi engines (speed boosted to 550c) and TPM-VLS in 2115.

Proxima Centauri 42A Light Combat Ship

When the Starsystem 91B training ship fleet (originally the frigates of the DDS fleet in the 2090s) approached the end of their fatigue lives NS made the surprise decision to extensively rebuild the ships as Light Destroyers. An NS source said the Proxima Centauri gives NS a ship that has "90% of the capability of an Isometric for 60% of the cost of a Corkscrew".

It is planned to withdraw them by 2130, probably replacing them with the Advanced Rome 216A.

Black Triangle 126A War Fighting Ship

The Black Triangle is a new concept warship which was jointly developed by NS and MBO. The ship is small and optimised for war fighting. It has only the most basic crew facilities to save mass and size, the ships were to be supported by a dedicated carrier. Each squadron of four being supported by a Rainbow 166A tender. The UNDF cancelled the programme after just four being built.

Rainbow 166A

The Rainbow 166A is a support tender for the Black Triangle 126A, each tender supports a squadron of four Black Triangles providing the crew facilities the small warship lacks. It is another ship based on the Friendship platform. Only one has been built due to the cancellation of the Black Triangle programme after just four were built. 

The ship will be converted into a Sparkle elint ship in a few years.

Violet 57B Light Patrol Ship

This is the second batch of light patrol ships, based on the Pentekonter, being built to replace the bulk of the legacy UNP Space Patrol fleet. Compared to the earlier Protector 57A these ships have a larger docking bay, enhanced internal security and MRM support.
