Classic Rome 46A Light Combat Ship

The Rome was a development of the Pentekonter 44A light patrol ship with greater firepower and performance. It is equipped with a modular mission compartment meaning it can be quickly fitted out for use in a number of different roles including ECM/Elint, ground attack and reconnaissance. They tend to be used in a utility role to support the destroyer and patrol fleets.

The Rome 46K sub-class were dedicated VIP ships. They were fitted with extra C3 facilities as well as improved crew quarters. In 2123 they were converted back to standard Romes, though retain the C3 facilities.

The Rome fleet was upgraded during late 2119 and 2120. Rome Intermediate Life Update (ILU) included the worming of all ships. New Proton RM-01GX e-Core engines (with H-scoop integration) replacing the original Hitachi HS-760GX-200s were fitted, as well as Z7t cannon and other system and tactical updates as well as life extension and refurbishment work.

46-201 Cicero is the UNDF flagship and personal ship of Torus.
