Heavy Attack Squad (ex Windscorpion) 18A Monitor

The Type 18A is a unique ship in the fleet, while most combat ships are designed to be capable of multi-role operations (even if they prioritise one role) the Type 18A is designed for one reason only: to carry the massive ZMax super cannon - a weapon more powerful than anything else known in the galaxy. The rationale for the Type 18A is to bring something different and unexpected to a tactical situation, one that an enemy cannot prepare for. A second ship was planned but has now been cancelled.

The ship was originally named Windscorpion but this was changed in 2122.

These scouts were been transferred to the NS fleet during the MBO-NS era. They performed scouting, liaison and fleet support duties. The Sting is a smaller, light armed version of the Nectar. They been sold to Triple Megan.

Oceania 63A Assault Transport Ship

These are Consolidated-ETA SX-98 heavy lift transports similar to those bought by the Dinos for use as landing ships. They have large docking bays that can accept a variety of ships at a time. The cargo bay can carry up to 30 large AFVs and other equipment. They have proven highly useful also for humanitarian relief and disaster response. Two ships are jointly owned by the UNP.

Corkscrew 51A Medium Combat Ship

The Type 51 is the follow-on from the Isometric family. NS will build up to 60 ships over the next couple of decades in 3 batches of 20, the first batch being the Corkscrew 51A. The ships are a development of the Rome 46A though quite a bit larger and more capable. They have been designed from the start for flexibility and have a modular design.

Missileer 21B Missile / UCV Carrier

The Missileer was a new concept for the NS being a modified Provider transport converted into a warship instead of being designed from the outset for combat. The Missileer was equipped with a large number of transphasic missiles and 4 launchers. The Missileer works in conjunction with other warships using their targeting information (as well as it's own) to unleash a large number of missiles at multiple targets. 

The Missileer, having a lot of internal space to play with, also has a role in strategic weapons carriage, special forces deployment and support and UCV operation. For the latter the Missileer can operate between 40-80 Ferret UCVs.

From 107 onwards the ships were to the upgraded Missileer 21B standard. The fleet was united under the 21B after various upgrades.

These are developed Panthers with a larger fuselage for a multi-role operations. They are the first NS ships to be fitted with worm drive from new.

Freedom 41B Destroyer

NS needed a quick way to rebuild the patrol fleet following conflict as the next generation Corkscrew 51A design was still a number of years away. NS built this fleet of ships based on the Isometric-E150, an export version of the Isometric 41A. The Freedom is very similar to the Isometric especially since recent updates though has a number of fundamental differences to systems and ship infrastructure. In the 2120s the Isometric and Freedom classes will be merged.
