Freedom 41B Destroyer

NS needed a quick way to rebuild the patrol fleet following conflict as the next generation Corkscrew 51A design was still a number of years away. NS built this fleet of ships based on the Isometric-E150, an export version of the Isometric 41A. The Freedom is very similar to the Isometric especially since recent updates though has a number of fundamental differences to systems and ship infrastructure. In the 2120s the Isometric and Freedom classes will be merged.

Depender 161A Intelligence Gathering Ship

The Depender is based on the Friendship platform officially a Multi-Role Combat Support ship but thought to used for intelligence gathering (NS are not confirming).

161-106 has been fitted with a Proton RM-01C e-Core engine for development purposes. All ships will receive e-Core engines during upgrades in 2126.

Acadia 165A Remote Support Tender

The Acadia 165A Remote Support Tender supports local patrol assets in the more remote parts of the UNP. It will provide refuelling, repair and maintenance and resupply facilities. It is another ship based on the Friendship platform.

Okra 86L Local Patrol Ship

The Okra is based on the Coril 86A shuttle and has been developed as a stop-gap policing ship. At first NS planned to return them to shuttle duties as sufficient Protectors and Mariners are built in the 2120s but are proving adequate for low intensity roles and it is likely they will remain part of the patrol fleet.

The Lavender is an ultra-long range patrol ship. It cab be optionally manned but is usually unmanned, used on lengthy (and secret) reconnaissance missions.

Mulberry 36A Support Cruiser

These Raegris built ships are based on the Yel'Tema / RC-2B design updated with the latest NS weapon technologies and worm drive. They also have an extensive docking bay to support special forces operations. They have been designed with good command and communications facilities and can act as flagships for small deployments.

Pentekonter 44M Mine Warfare / 44T Training Ship

The Pentekonter 44A was designed as a cheap low-end patrol asset. Unfortunately it quickly proved to be a little too low-end and NS moved to the Rome 46A for the patrol role instead. The Pentekonter instead became dedicated minesweepers and have proven highly useful in the role. They still continue to be used in the light patrol role too.

Some ships are also used by the Departmental Fleet for trials, calibration and general duties. Some new ships are being built for the training role to replace the Starsystem 91B.

Although the Pentekonter failed first time around as a patrol asset a development of the ship, the Protector 57A, is the new standard light patrol ship for UNP policing and governance. The Pentekonter has proven highly successful in export with dozens now serving with NS allies and customers.

All ships will be upgraded in the Pentekonter ILU 2125, changes include Proton RM-01 e-Core engines, TPM-VLS 8-cell launchers, removing SPECNES and an increase in cruise speed to 400c.
